About Care Mason Family Pet Hospital:
We are a busy 6-doctor, small animal practice (dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and reptiles), and we are continuing to grow! Located in Northeast Cincinnati, Mason is a fast-growing community and one of Greater Cincinnati’s most desirable areas for excellent schools, nice neighborhoods, and convenient shopping and recreation. Our hospital is a modern, well-equipped, recently expanded, and remodeled facility with nearby specialists to provide advanced support as needed.
The Opportunity:
As the Medical Director at Mason Family Pet Hospital, you'll keep doing what you love - practicing veterinary medicine and seeing the furry faces that make your day. In this role, you will provide vital medical leadership, oversee the veterinary team, ensure compliance standards are met, and cultivate an environment where exceptional pet care thrives. You'll develop medical protocols, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with the practice manager on finances, budgeting, and operational optimization. Approximately 5-10% of your time will be focused on administrative functions, meaning most of your time is spent doing what you know and love – caring for pets!
Skills and Basic Qualifications:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which the applicant is to be employed
5+ years of experience as an associate veterinarian
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Skillful ability to delegate, develop, and inspire a winning team
