We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. As a Veterinarian at our clinic, you will be responsible for providing medical care to a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Your duties will include conducting physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition. In addition, you will collaborate with our support staff to ensure the well-being of all patients.
The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine love for animals are essential for this role. Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Job Summary
We’re looking for a full-time (or part-time) veterinarian who is a compassionate, team player and strong communicator. We are a small animal hospital operating out of the Fairfax district.
Responsibilities
Provide routine examinations
Diagnose illnesses and recommend treatment
Perform surgeries including dental, ophthalmic, and orthopedic (Optional)
Administer vaccinations
Perform spay and neuter surgeries (Optional)
Prescribe medication
Advise pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-being
Update client records
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Active veterinary state license
Current DEA License preferred but not required
USDA Accreditation preferred but not required
Must be compassionate and sympathetic, and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
Must have telephone and computer skills.
Previous work experience as a veterinarian
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms
Problem-solving skills
Availability to take evening, weekend..., or on-call shifts when necessary
