Prairie Side Veterinary Hospital in Kenosha and Racine (not required to work at both locations!!) are seeking a full- or part-time Associate Veterinarian to serve the needs of our community’s canine and feline patients. Mt. Pleasant’s hometown feel, forward-thinking attitude, excellent accessibility, and ideal locations make these great places to live and work.
At Prairie Side, we believe healthy pets are the happiest pets. It’s our goal to provide comprehensive care including wellness, surgical, dental, diagnostic, nutrition counseling, and acupuncture. Our ideal candidate would be motivated to continue our mission while exemplifying an “all hands-on deck” attitude. Our support staff thoroughly embodies this, and we enjoy having a close-knit, family-like atmosphere! Due to our 1.5 DVM size (both locations), the ability to work independently is also a must.
Our clinics have the tools needed to practice quality medicine including digital radiography, dental rads, in-house labs, and access to ultrasound. The opportunity also exists to shadow and potentially learn orthopedic procedures from our Medical Director. Please note, Prairie Side is within proximity to several other network hospitals (Delavan) – we would love to talk about splitting time if that’s of interest!
Available to qualified candidates are comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation, including:
Production based OR salaried compensation options
Signing bonus
Relocation assistance
Medical, dental, and vision insurance with shared premiums
Practice-sponsored life insurance
401(k) eligibility with employer match
Child Care Participant
Annual continuing education stipend
Paid time-off for personal use and to attend CE
In-house development programs for new graduates, experienced Associates, and Medical Directors
Sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with wellness initiatives
