Randhurst Animal Hospital is a growing, busy 3 doctor practice. We are looking to add a compassionate and experienced Veterinary Technician to our fantastic team. We need great tech that are willing to work hard and who work well in a team orientated environment. Responsibilities and qualifications are listed below, but are not limited to this list:
- Effective collection and communication of histories and vitals to the veterinarians
- Safe and secure restraint of patients for diagnostics and treatment
- Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with clients
- Surgical preparation, maintaining a sterile environments, monitoring anesthesia, monitoring pre/post op patients
- Knowledgeable with veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and preventatives
- In-house diagnostics: fecals, urinalysis, ear cytology, skin scrapes etc
- In-house bloodwork: CBC, Chemistry, Electrolytes, SNAP tests
- Dental cleaning, assisting with extractions, taking dental radiographs
- SQ,IV,IM injections
- Proficient with phlebotomy and placement of IV catheters
- Proper restraint and development techniques for digital radiographs
- Willingness to work evenings and some weekends.
