Torrance Companion, previously known as Affordable Animal Clinic, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to join our dedicated team. Located in the vibrant city of Torrance and sharing a wall with Ohana Animal Hospital, our clinic is committed to providing high-quality, personalized care to our diverse community of pet owners. Our practice is known for its friendly, team-oriented atmosphere, making it an ideal environment for veterinarians who are passionate about collaboration, continuous learning, and compassionate care.
At Torrance Companion, we pride ourselves on our culture of support, teamwork, and open communication. Our experienced staff—some with decades of experience—work together to ensure each patient receives the individualized attention they need. We emphasize preventive care, client education, and empathy-driven service to build strong bonds with our clients and keep pets healthy. Our well-trained team includes technicians with specialized skills, including one with extensive reptile care knowledge, allowing us to serve a range of pet needs.
Our facility features four exam rooms and a large treatment area that can accommodate more than ten hospitalizations or drop-offs, creating a comfortable and efficient flow for our daily appointments. We also have dedicated spaces for our spacious lobby, pharmacy, and treatment room, ensuring an organized and welcoming experience for our clients. Equipped with state-of-the-art tools, including a dental machine, X-ray machine, ultrasound, and surgery suite, our clinic is prepared to provide comprehensive care for a variety of patient needs.
As a DVM at Torrance Companion, you will play an integral role in delivering excellent patient care, with a focus on wellness, dermatology, and addressing the needs of “itchy pets”—one of the common cases we handle. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a supportive team that values communication, regular team meetings, and cross-training, ensuring everyone feels informed, supported, and empowered. Our clinic also offers unique opportunities for growth, including case discussions and continuing education to keep your skills sharp.
You’ll be responsible for conducting thorough examinations, creating tailored treatment plans, performing surgeries, and fostering compassionate client relationships. Our goal is to provide affordable, high-quality care, building on our legacy as an “Affordable” clinic with strong ties to our community.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive base salary of $160k - $180k plus production-based bonuses
