Northside Emergency Pet Clinic (NEPC) is expanding our team! We are a fast-paced, upbeat 24/7 emergency veterinary clinic with an excellent support staff and a collaborative environment. Our team enjoys working together, and it shows: three of our six DVMs have been with NEPC for over 10 years, and many of our support staff members have been with us for 5+ years. For those new to emergency medicine, we provide plenty of experience, patience, and mentorship to help you thrive.
We are committed to delivering exceptional care for our patients while fostering an excellent work-life balance for our team. Full-time DVMs are scheduled for 11–13 shifts per month on a set rotation, with a stretch of 5–7 days off in a row every four weeks. You’ll also enjoy having at least two out of four weekends off, with an equal share of day, night, and holiday shifts.
Although we are technically an ER-only practice, we offer access to specialty support:
A radiologist is in-house Monday through Friday and available on-call during weekends.
A cardiologist is in the building Monday through Thursday.
A boarded surgeon is on-site every Thursday and available on-call.
Mobile internists are accessible in the area to provide additional expertise.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
A base salary plus 24% production (skilled full-time DVMs can reasonably expect to earn over $200,000 annually).
Comprehensive benefits, including 401(k), health, dental, and vision coverage.
Generous continuing education (CE) allowance and more.
Our clinic is located in Westminster, CO, just 15 miles north of Denver and 20 miles southeast of Boulder. These cities are vibrant cultural hubs with a wealth of dining, breweries, fitness centers, and cultural experiences. The area also boasts a plethora of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and running throughout the Front Range, plus incredible road and gravel biking routes. For outdoor enthusiasts, the nearby mountains—including the 10 Mile Range, Gore Range, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Arapahoe National Forest—offer endless opportunities for winter and summer adventures, all within a two-hour drive from the hospital.
