About Us:

Santa Anita Park, one of the world’s premier horse racing venues, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Equine Veterinarian to join our veterinary team (private practice). Our facility is known for its history, world-class horses, and commitment to equine health and safety.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual with a genuine interest in racetrack practice. While prior racetrack experience is a plus, it is not required—we value commitment, integrity, and a willingness to learn above all.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily monitoring and assessments of equine athletes

Assist in pre-race and post-race exams

Diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses

Collaborate with trainers, owners, and regulatory officials

Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Participate in emergency response care as needed

Requirements:

DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program

Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in California (or ability to obtain)

Passion for equine health, particularly in a racing environment

Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
