Midvale Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Mixed Animal Practitioner to join our clinic. This flexible position can be either principally large animal or small animal with the option to expand the practice in any areas of interest.
Midvale Veterinary Clinic is a three veterinarian mixed animal practice with an exceptional and loyal support staff, dedicated to expanding our business and serving our community. We provide full services for large animals including emergency calls for dairy, equine, beef, small ruminants and pigs. We currently offer limited small animal services with plans for expansion in this area.
Midvale Veterinary Clinic is located in a scenic, rural area within a strong, friendly community. We are located within one hour of many tourist attractions and opportunities for outdoor recreation. Nearby areas include Albany (Albany International Airport), Saratoga, Cooperstown and the Adirondacks.

Job Responsibilities
Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical procedures for large animal that deliver the highest quality care. Basic routine care for small animal with room for expansion.
Communicates with clients on topics such as diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date
Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
Requirements
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
Manages time and tasks appropriately.
Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
