Payton Animal Hospital is a 2 doctor general rural mixed animal practice that is 90% small animal and 10% large animal (approximately 5% equine and 5% bovine, caprine, and ovine). We are located in southwest Georgia, and we are 45 minutes away from Dothan, AL, 3 hours away from Atlanta, GA, and 2 hours away from Panama City, so we offer the quiet rural life but are within driving distance of urban areas and the beach. We are open 5 days a week from 8 am to 5 pm, but we are flexible with hours. Compensation is negotiable with experience, but there is a compensation package that includes health, disability and liability insurance, a simple IRA retirement plan, paid CE, and paid vacation days. The associate veterinarian must be available to work 30-40 hours a week, including seeing wellness visits, sick patients and performing surgeries such as spays and neuters, mass removals, dental procedures and occasional abdominal exploratories. Large animal medicine can be optional, but if you wanted to learn more or do more large animal, the capacity is there. A professional, courteous and kind attitude is a must.
