Flagler Animal Hospital is looking for a Managing Veterinarian to lead our team. We are located right on Flagler Beach on the beautiful Florida coast. We are seeking a Veterinarian/Leader with a passion for high quality GP and Urgent Care including client education, wellness, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. We are a progressive small animal hospital with an experienced and committed group of doctors and staff. We are seeking a leader who enjoys leading by example, collaboration, and likes to have fun at work too!

Our team of doctors are learning-oriented with a focus on collaboration, with frequent case discussions and mentorship opportunities. Our doctors are especially known for their surgical skills with difficult cases. Our highly skilled staff are seasoned and knowledgeable, including in surgical and dental procedures. The technician team do a wonderful job in ensuring cases run smoothly. We are known in the community for providing urgent care and enjoy being available to our community evenings and weekends. We have daytime and evening teams to provide this continuity of care to our clients.

Our hospital is a modern building that offers state-of-the-art medical care. We provide our patients with high quality medicine through complete whole-life services: wellness, preventative care, general medicine, urgent care, advanced dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. The hospital offers equipment to provide all in-house diagnostics including state-of-the-art digital radiography, including dental, digital ultrasound, EKG, endoscopy, full in-house laboratory, as well as referral lab availability.
About the role:
The Managing Veterinarian is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine, and directing staff. The Managing Veterinarian is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered. The Managing Veterinarian provides mentorship and guidance related to medical protocols and procedures. In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing Veterinarian is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations.
