Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (AVES) is seeking a Full-Time, Part-time and Relief Small Animal Emergency Doctors for its rapidly growing emergency and specialty hospital in Austin, TX. AVES desires an emergency veterinarian that is self-motivated with excellent multi-tasking skills that can contribute to our high standard of patient care, client service, and comprehensive communication. The eligible applicant should lead by example and maintain a professional demeanor and contribute positively to the AVES culture. We are interested in speaking with experienced ER DVMs, internship-trained DVMs, and new grads or GP DVMs who have an interest in emergency medicine. ER Mentorship is available through AVES and the NVA-Compassion-First Network!
The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to grow professionally with the hospital and sustain strong relationships with referring colleagues, clients, and support staff. This is a unique opportunity to work in a team of top-notch emergency doctors and specialists in a rapidly growing emergency and specialty practice. Our specialty services currently include Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, and Cardiology (provided by CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets).
AVES was established in 2014 and has had exponential growth since its establishment. AVES is locally managed by one of the original founders, Lindsay Vaughn, DVM, DACVECC and joined the NVA- Compassion First Network in 2021 to accelerate their growth and network with other best-in-class specialty and emergency hospitals. In early 2024, AVES will be moving to a new state of the art facility that is approximately 45,000 square feet and numerous additional services will be added to our hospital. We are very excited to continue to grow our hospital with you!
