Our hospital is inviting second-, third- and fourth-year veterinary students to experience clinical practice during rotating externships or summer, spring or winter breaks as their schedule allows. We are currently hiring associate veterinarians and all externs will be considered. We are a medium to large hospital with strengths in preventive care, internal medicine, surgery and reproductive services.
Our mission is to promote animal wellness, facilitate the human-animal bond and alleviate pain and suffering. You will enjoy seeing an interesting and diverse case load including stimulating medical, surgical and reproductive cases. We are a cooperative and collaborative hospital with emphasis on a fear-free, comprehensive approach to medicine focusing on preventative care and healthy lifestyles for our patients.
Travel and housing stipend provided.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a US accredited College of Veterinary Medicine. We are seeking interns and externs that are interested in working through cases with our veterinarians. Students will be expected to perform and interpret diagnostics alongside their mentor veterinarian, as well as assist with procedures. Our clinic stays busy with preventive medicine, dentistry, surgery, and a diverse range of medical cases. Students who are interested in learning small animal general practice in a fun and supportive atmosphere are encouraged to contact Dr. Karen Hoffmann.
