Auburn Animal Care has 2 fantastic veterinarians who could use the help of another medical mind! Auburn Animal Care is an independent, small animal clinic that has been a staple of the Auburn/Bainbridge community since 1945. We have a loyal multi-generational clientele that loves us as much as we love them (most of the time). Founded by Dr. Peter Clemens, Auburn Animal Care has remained a family run business under his son Dr. Paul Clemens. Affectionately referred to as “Doc” Dr. Clemens attended THE Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1978. After 45 years he’s an oldie, but goodie. He always has ideas and is willing to implement new things with an enthusiasm that is infectious. Dr. Lee joined the clinic in 2022 and her expansive knowledge has helped foster a collaborative environment.
We have 3 dedicated licensed RVTs on staff that have a wide range of interests. We’re so close to having our Fear Free Hospital Certification! We also have 2 well-trained Veterinary Assistants who are dedicated to patient and client care. Our 2 Patient Care Representatives run the front end like a well-oiled machine (we must mention them they’re awesome too!). We have a 3:1 staff ratio and run appointments every 20 minutes. Auburn Animal Care is open Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 8AM to 6PM, Wednesday & Friday from 8AM to 5PM. We are closed weekends & all major holidays; we do not have on call or emergency hours. Our doctors average ~28 hours a week. Your time after you clock out is your own!
Our hospital is equipped with a full on-site Idexx Laboratory (ProCyte, Catalyst, Sedivue, & Coag), Idexx DR radiology system, Zoetis Imagyst, digital dental radiology system, multi-model anesthetic monitors, a Summus Horizon therapy laser, and a Butterfly IQ ultrasound. Our laboratory and radiology systems are integrated with our AviMark PMS. Who doesn’t love having the latest and greatest equipment!
