Come practice in Beautiful Kentucky!  Seeking small animal exclusive or Equine/ Small animal Veterinarian to join our two-doctor practice.  Bannon Woods Veterinary Hospital is located in the Louisville, Kentucky area.  We are 15 minutes from Louisville International Airport, our practice is centrally located 2 miles off major interstate for ease of access.  Although close to the city, our hospital is physically located in the back of a quiet neighborhood on a 40-acre horse farm.  Kentucky has four seasons to enjoy several parks and lakes for ultimate outdoor adventures.  Flexible schedules, 3-5 day work week schedules available.  If you are interested in Equine practice on call is optional, we work with evening and weekend emergency practices in the area.  No small animal emergency call, we refer to area specialty hospitals.

Our 10,000 square foot facility has 11 spacious exam rooms, one of which is an isolation room that has a separate entrance and air system to admit possible parvo or respiratory cases.  Our comfort rooms have comfortable couches and a view of the horse pasture.  Each room has gentle background music to allow for a relaxing environment for patients and staff.

Our two-story Equine treatment room has two padded induction and recovery stalls, full gas anesthesia capabilities and two sets of stocks.

We have all the tools and toys to practice high quality medicine.  Digital radiology (in house and three mobile units), dental radiographs, ultrasound (2 nice GE Logic machines and 2 repro units), lasers (2 companion class 4, one class 3), video endoscopy (in house and portable unit), arthroscopy, gastroscopy, IRAP, PRP, Full Idexx Laboratory, SAA and lactate readers, three equine ambulatory trucks, On site Coggins USDA lab, Digitherm thermography, stance analyzer, small animal underwater treadmill, gas sterilizer and autoclave, Fully equipped for orthopedic surgery, ligasure, magnawave, acupuncture and chiropractic services offered, shockwave and more.

We are fully staffed to ensure our doctors can focus on quality medicine and surgery.  Our support staff has full benefits, competitive pay and flexible shifts.  We know a happy, well-trained staff makes for happy doctors.   Equine doctors have a dedicated truck nurse.  

Doctor compensation guaranteed per shift worked with monthly bonus production.  Full time is 14-16 shifts per month to qualify for benefits.  We offer paid vacation, PTO, CE stipend, health, dental, vision, professional dues, retirement match program, sweet uniforms and most importantly a great working environment with dedicated, kind colleges and staff.
