Greenfield Animal Hospital (GAH) is a well regarded, privately owned, small animal veterinary clinic that has delivered high quality medicine in the idyllic Greenfield Hill neighborhood district of Fairfield CT for over 40 years. Led by Dr. Andrew Marsh, this three doctor practice has an outstanding reputation in the community and promotes a collaborative, enjoyable environment for all of our employees with an emphasis on a healthy work life balance. In spring 2024, we are moving into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility located at 40 Hillside Road, and we look forward to welcoming another full-time associate veterinarian into the GAH family.
All of our veterinarians, including our office manager, Dr. Katie King, have over ten years experience in the field and are expert at balancing the demands of our very important profession with the necessity of enjoying our everyday lives. We are truly a team-oriented practice and work diligently to maintain a positive work culture that is supportive and motivating. Our profession can be extremely demanding, but we have created a family at GAH that truly cares for each other, and we look forward to finding an associate veterinarian that shares our values and will enhance our work environment.
After growing out of our existing space, it has been a dream to build a modern facility that meets and exceeds present day standards in our profession. With over 6,000 sq feet on the main floor of the new practice, the layout promotes fear free medicine and includes a separate waiting area for our feline patients, seven exam rooms, an isolation ward, and a multi-table dental suite. The new hospital also has room for improved staff amenities including a privacy room and an area for staff pets so that we can show our appreciation for our employees. Regardless of experience, we look forward to the addition of an associate veterinarian so that we can support each other and be proud to operate in a facility that reflects the significance of our profession.
We are fortunate in our area to work closely with a boarded surgeon, internal medicine specialist, cardiac ultrasonographer, and oncologist, who come regularly to our hospital to perform advanced diagnostics and treatments. Our clients value these services being available through our practice, and the close relationship we have with these phenomenal clinicians allows for excellent continuity of care. That said, we also have a great working relationship with more than 4 large veterinary referral and emergency centers in our area that offer a full range of services and are available to our clients for their pet’s emergency needs.
Over the years, by delivering the highest quality medicine in private practice and tailoring to the individual needs of our clients and patients, it is no surprise that many of our local referral specialists bring their beloved pets to us for their routine care. We recognize the challenges of our profession, but we are blessed to love what we do and it shows in how we care for each other, our clients and our patients.
