Associate for a four-person 100% Equine practice located on the beautiful Gold Coast of Long Island, NY. Thirty minutes from Manhattan, and fifteen minutes to the beach!
Long Island has it all!
We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented veterinarian with a passion for sports medicine - both its diagnosis and Western and Eastern treatment modalities. A keen eye for lameness and good people skills are essential.
We are a unique practice to work for! Our associates work 5 days a week, which allows a great work/life balance. Night/weekend emergency duties are split equally between 3 associates. Veterinary assistants are available to make your calls easier and more productive. We also have an office support staff, so no late nights doing paperwork! Our office staff processes all of the billing, payments, insurance forms, health papers, and reference lab submissions. They also handle scheduling and billing inquiries, so you can spend less time on the phone and more time practicing medicine. We utilize a cloud-based practice management program, so you always have access to medical records, client info, etc.
We utilize the latest diagnostic equipment – digital xray and digital ultrasound in each truck, and fiberoptic endoscopy/gastroscopy. Our treatments include ESWT, PRP, Prostride, therapeutic laser, Phovia, chiropractic, acupuncture, and homeopathy. We also have in-house lab equipment for rapid turnarounds on CBC, Chemistry, fecal, SAA and Thyroid testing.
Our clients are mainly high-level hunter-jumper people although every possible breed and discipline is seen.
Our practice is very collaborative and we enjoy sharing cases, radiographs, ultrasounds, etc.
