Red Bank Veterinary Hospital is offering externships on a first come first serve basis.  Students usually spend one week (Mon. – Fri.) with a service.  Externships are held in our Red Bank Location where we have the largest number of Specialists available for teaching, and Formal Rounds and Intern Lectures are held every morning offering the most comprehensive learning experience.  

We are proud to offer free extern housing located just 4 miles from the hospital.  This is a dormitory-style living arrangement and you may be asked to share your room with another extern.  Please note that with limited space it will be booked on a first come, first serve basis.

About Red Bank Veterinary Hospital

We are a 24-hour emergency and critical care facility with a specialty practice and general practice that utilizes the most current procedures and state-of-the-art equipment. Our specialty practice includes board certified specialists in anesthesiology & pain management, avian & exotics, cardiology, clinical nutrition, critical care, dentistry & oral surgery, diagnostic imaging, extra corporeal therapy (hemodialysis & total plasma exchange) internal medicine, interventional radiology & endoscopy, neurology & neurosurgery, oncology (medical & radiation), ophthalmology, physical rehabilitation, and surgery (orthopedic & soft tissue). We also offer acupuncture and therapeutic laser.
