Chill, adorable small animal GP in Tracy, CA (45 minutes from the SF Bay Area). And if you're not currently licensed in California, please note that it's now way easier - the State Board exam has now been eliminated!
One of our Doctors is going on maternity leave, and we’ll need to have a relief Doctor from roughly early Feb through Apr 2023. Tracy is a commuter community for the Bay Area, but without the traffic. You can be close to the action without the crowds, and be a little closer to Yosemite National Park and awesome hiking, lakes, etc. Lots of ranchettes and horse property 10 minutes from this hospital as well.
A little bit about who we are:
- Currently 1 Doctor since our long-time owner retired this year, but ideally a 2-3 Doctor practice
- 4 Techs total – 2 RVTs, one Tech in school for RVT, and one non-RVT Tech who has a controlled substance permit (very long-term staff in general)
- 3 of our 4 Techs do dentals
- the Techs or CSRs do cost estimates - you most likely wouldn't
- Almost always someone here who can fill controlled drugs
- Dog/cat only
What we’re looking for:
- Someone who can work at least 2 days/week (no Mondays or weekends)
- DVM who’s licensed within CA, or who has the ability to be licensed in CA
- Someone nice
What we can offer:
- Easy schedule – usually arrive around 8:30am and out the door by 5:30pm! Hour break for lunch – take it.
- NO WEEKENDS
- No surgery required
- Extremely loyal clientele – lots of generational clients
- 20 min appts for wellness and 40 min appts for medical cases
- You’re always asked before we accept drop-offs or urgent care cases (usually no more than 2/day)
- Electronic records (Avimark)
- Fantastic staff who genuinely care about you and our clients
- 3 exam rooms; place to walk patients; 2 dentistry tables; 1 surgery suite (not required) - mainly spays, neuters, abcesses, lacerations; we do lots of in-house lab testing but we do send some out; dentistry equip up to date with high speed drills, extraction equipment, digital dental x-rays and digital body x-rays; linked to Idexx
