								<description>Yellowstone County, Montana,  University is expanding its academic offerings with the development of a new College of Veterinary Medicine and is seeking dedicated faculty to help bring this vision to life. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a progressive, student-focused curriculum built on strong clinical foundations and real-world application. 
 Faculty members will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to design, implement, and refine coursework. This role includes teaching, mentoring, and helping shape a modern veterinary education program designed to meet the needs of today&#8217;s profession. 
 Compensation The salary range for this position is $149,864 to $196,539 annually. Final compensation will reflect qualifications, experience, academic credentials, and faculty rank as determined through the university&#8217;s promotion process. Relocation assistance is available.

 Position Summary This role supports veterinary student education through active participation in courses within the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, facilitating small group instruction, contributing to course materials, and participating in assessment development. 
 Key Responsibilities 
 Teaching &#38; Academic Contributions 
 
 Provide instruction in equine medicine and surgery within the veterinary curriculum 
 Assist in the development and ongoing improvement of course content 
 Support student learning through mentoring and academic engagement 
 
 Research &#38; Scholarly Activity 
 
 Participate in research initiatives aligned with areas such as One Health, zoonotic diseases, environmental health, and public health 
 Conduct independent and collaborative research projects 
 Mentor veterinary and graduate students in research efforts 
 Contribute to continuing education and outreach initiatives in collaboration with other departments or institutions 
 
 Service &#38; Institutional Involvement 
 
 Engage in faculty governance and departmental meetings 
 Serve on committees and contribute to institutional initiatives 
 Participate in faculty evaluation and program development processes 
 
 Qualifications 
 Required 
 
 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and/or PhD from an accredited institution 
 
 Preferred 
 
 Board eligibility or certification in a relevant specialty 
 Experience or strong interest in research related to equine medicine and surgery 
 
 Candidates selected for this role will be required to complete a background check and drug screening.
