Kentucky Paws Animal Hospital is hiring for a part-time associate veterinarian to join our boutique-style hospital. We are a start-up independently owned hospital that has been open for 4 years in Crescent Springs, just 10 minutes from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Our hospital branding attracts affluent clientele, who genuinely want the best for their pets. We are a high touch practice backed with a strong support team including 2 licensed veterinary technicians and 2 assistants who are very involved with all diagnostics and sample collections so that you can focus on being a doctor!
The hospital is carefully curated to give an at home feel with high end finishes. Kentucky Paws features a complete IDEXX in-house suite along with digital radiographs. We have a separate cat catered exam room, a dedicated comfort room and independent dog and cat wards. Our hospital also includes separate surgical and dental suites with an open treatment area and essentially new equipment.
Don’t want to work the weekends? That’s the normal at Kentucky Paws! We are only open Monday-Friday and close at 5pm with our last appointment usually reserved for a wellness appointment. Want flexibility? We can accommodate it! Want to attend your child’s school or sports activity? Go!
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is a team player, personable and practices high quality medicine with the pets’ best interest first.
Key highlights: -No on-calls, late nights, weekends or after hours emergencies -independently owned in an essentially new hospital -collaborative, warm work environment with a great culture -flexible compensation structure: straight salary preferred or production based
Schedule: -2 days per week (9 hour shifts, one hour lunch) -8am-5pm
Benefits: - $59,000 annual salary -State licensing and membership dues covered (DEA, KVMA) -Pet care at cost (free exams + discounted meds) -$75 uniform allowance annually -2 days flex time (paid personal, sick)
-Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree -Hold a Kentucky State License or have the ability to obtain one -Someone who thrives in a client-focused, high-touch environment
