								<description>Athens, Ohio,  We are seeking a full-time Veterinarian to join our three-location team.&#xa0; Ohio Valley Animal Clinic was established in 2012.&#xa0; All three locations of Ohio Valley Animal Clinic are privately owned and operated.&#xa0; We are primarily small-animal however there is a growing need for a mixed-animal practitioner. This position is Monday through Friday, 8a-5p with no weekends or after-hours shifts required. As a Veterinarian at our practice, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients, which may include a variety of species such as canines, felines, and exotics. Your duties will include performing examinations, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and performing surgeries (based on comfort level) as needed. Additionally, you will educate pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.&#xa0; We have an EXCELLENT support staff and fully equipped at all three of our locations including digital xray, full Idexx diagnostics, ultrasound, fluid pumps, Cardell monitors, etc. 
 The ideal candidate will have a DVM or equivalent degree and be licensed to practice in Ohio. Strong communication skills, compassion for animals, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. Experience with a variety of species is a plus, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
